Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the organization's financial strategy, governance, and operations. The CFO will serve as a trusted advisor to the CMD and Board of Directors, driving financial excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening financial systems, and supporting the organization's growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CMD and Board of Directors on financial matters, business risks, and investment decisions.
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
Financial Reporting & Governance
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely MIS reporting to management and stakeholders.
- Present financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership and the Board.
Treasury & Fund Management
- Manage treasury operations including cash flow planning and working capital.
- Lead fundraising initiatives, banking relationships, and financing arrangements.
- Liaise with banks, financial institutions, bond investors, trustees, and credit rating agencies.
- Manage foreign exchange exposure, interest rate risks, and covenant compliance.
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, including:
- Companies Act
- Income Tax Act
- RBI Regulations
- SEBI Guidelines
- MCA Regulations
- GST and other applicable financial laws
- Lead internal, statutory, and tax audits.
Systems & Process Excellence
- Establish robust financial systems, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
- Drive automation and process improvements across finance functions.
- Build scalable finance operations to support business growth.
Strategic Business Partnering
- Collaborate with department heads to optimize budgets and control costs.
- Support strategic planning, investment decisions, and business expansion initiatives.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities and recommend mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with investors, auditors, bankers, regulatory authorities, and external consultants.
- Conduct Investment Committee and Advisory Board meetings.
- Provide financial insights to support key business decisions.
Required Skills
