Role Description The Chartered Accountant will be responsible for managing audit assignments, statutory and tax compliance, and financial reporting for a diverse portfolio of clients. Day-to-day activities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, performing tax planning and filing, conducting internal and external audits, and advising clients on accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
The role involves coordinating with clients, preparing working papers, ensuring adherence to professional and ethical standards, and supporting business advisory engagements.
The Chartered
Accountant will also contribute to process improvements, risk assessment, and documentation to enhance client service quality. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai.
Qualifications
- Professional accounting expertise, including strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, Ind AS, and relevant tax laws, along with practical experience in audit and assurance.
- Financial reporting and analysis skills, including preparation and review of financial statements, variance analysis, and interpretation of financial data for decision-making.
- Compliance and regulatory proficiency, covering statutory filings, tax compliance, company law requirements, and adherence to professional standards and ethical guidelines.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to assess risks, identify control weaknesses, and recommend actionable improvements to client processes.
- Communication and client relationship skills, including clear written and verbal communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to explain complex financial matters in accessible language.
- Technical and digital literacy, with comfort using accounting and audit software, spreadsheets, and documentation tools to manage engagements efficiently.
- Chartered Accountant (India) qualification; additional credentials such as CPA (USA), Diploma in System Audit, Diploma in IFRS, or Registered Valuer (IBBI) are an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage multiple assignments, collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, and maintain high standards of integrity and professionalism.
