This is a Group-level finance role, not a single-company accounting job. It suits a qualified CA who wants breadth over depth in a single industry, is comfortable moving between GST litigation, bank facility documentation, ROC filings and MIS in the same week, and wants visibility with promoters from day one.
Role & responsibilities
Financial reporting and consolidation
- Prepare and finalise standalone financial statements for assigned Group entities under applicable AS / Ind AS.
- Drive month-end and year-end close; maintain a consolidated Group view of revenue, margins, receivables and borrowings.

- Manage TDS/TCS, advance tax, and Income Tax return filings for companies, firms, trusts and promoters.
- Handle Companies Act and ROC compliance - board and general meeting documentation, AOC-4, MGT-7, DIR-3 KYC, statutory registers.
- Support RBI/NBFC returns for the finance vertical and Nidhi compliance under the Nidhi Rules.
- Coordinate FEMA, ODI/FDI and transfer pricing requirements for the overseas entities.
Audit and internal control
- Act as the single point of coordination for statutory, tax and internal auditors; drive timely closure of audit observations.
- Design and enforce internal controls, delegation of authority, and inter-company reconciliation discipline across entities.
- Conduct periodic stock, cash and branch audits across warehouses, showrooms and branch locations.
Banking and treasury
- Prepare CMA data, project reports and renewal proposals for working capital and term loan facilities.
- Submit monthly stock and book-debt statements and other stipulated returns to lender banks.

- Draft replies and representations to GST and Income Tax notices, assemble supporting documentation, and coordinate with retained counsel and consultants.
- Track assessments, appeals and demands to closure and maintain a live litigation register.
Business partnering
- Support the CEO on due diligence, structuring and financial evaluation of new ventures, acquisitions and startup investments.
- Build costing,
pricing and unit-economics models for new verticals and retail formats.
- Supervise and upskill accounts managers and executives at entity and branch level.

Essential
- Qualified Chartered Accountant, member of ICAI, in good standing.
- 4-10 years of post-qualification experience in industry, or in an audit/consulting firm with substantial multi-entity client exposure.
- Solid working knowledge of GST law, Income Tax, TDS and the Companies Act, 2013.
- Hands-on with Tally Prime and/or ERP environments, and advanced Excel (large-data handling, reconciliations, modelling).
- Ability to work independently across multiple entities and deadlines with minimal supervision.

- Willingness to travel to Thanjavur, Trichy and delta branch locations as required.
Preferred
- Exposure to NBFC, Nidhi or lending operations.
- Experience with FMCG distribution or multi-location retail accounting.
- Familiarity with FEMA and overseas subsidiary reporting (UAE / Singapore / Hong Kong).

Who this role will not suit: a specialist looking to stay within one function or one company. This is a generalist, high-ownership role in a promoter-led business.
What we offer
- Direct reporting to, and daily working access with, the Vice Chairman & CEO.
- Exposure across 18 industries in a single role - the kind of breadth that normally takes fifteen years to accumulate.
- Authority to build the Group finance function and the team under it.
- Compensation benchmarked to experience, with a performance-linked component.
- A defined growth path towards Group Financial Controller / CFO for the right performer.
