Job Summary The Banquet/Restaurant Captain is responsible for supervising and coordinating the service team to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality food and beverage operations. The Captain ensures excellent guest service, maintains service standards, and supports the Restaurant or Banquet Manager in the day-to-day operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate waiters, stewards, and other service staff during restaurant and banquet operations.

- Ensure proper mise-en-place and readiness of the restaurant or banquet area before service.

- Welcome guests and ensure prompt, courteous, and qualified service.

- Take food and beverage orders accurately and coordinate with the kitchen and bar.

- Monitor food and beverage presentation, quality, and service timing.

- Handle guest requests, complaints, and special requirements professionally.

- Brief the service team before each shift regarding menus, events, VIP guests, special requests, and operational requirements.

- Allocate duties and sections to service staff and monitor their performance.

- Ensure correct table setup, service procedures, and clearing standards.

- Coordinate banquet setup, buffet service, functions,



conferences, and special events.

- Check that all equipment, crockery, cutlery, glassware, linen, and service items are available and in good condition.

- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in all service areas.

- Assist with billing, cash handling, and settlement procedures when required.

- Monitor stock levels of service items and report shortages or damages to the manager.

- Ensure compliance with hotel/restaurant policies, SOPs, and food safety regulations.

- Train and guide junior service staff to improve their product knowledge and service skills.

- Coordinate closely with the kitchen, stewarding, housekeeping, front office, and other departments.

- Prepare or assist with daily reports, function sheets, and other operational documentation.

- Ensure the restaurant/banquet area is properly closed and secured after service.

- Perform other duties assigned by the F&B; or Restaurant/Banquet Manager.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
