NRole Overview
nThecandidate will be responsible for developing, validating, and optimizing powertrain system simulation models using MATLAB/Simulink and CALSim platforms. The role involves virtual verification of engine, transmission, hybrid, and electric powertrain systems to support vehicle performance, fuel economy, emissions, and durability targets.
NKey Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain 1Dsystem simulation models for powertrain and vehicle systems using MATLAB/Simulink and CALSim.
N
- Model and simulate engine, transmission, driveline, hybrid and EV powertrain systems.
N
- Perform virtual validation of powertrain functions against vehicle-level requirements.
N
- Analyze system performance related to fuel economy, emissions, thermal management, drivability, and energy consumption.
N
- Develop control logic and algorithms using Simulink and Stateflow.
N
- Correlate simulation results with test data and support model calibration activities.
N
- Conduct sensitivity studies, trade-off analyses, and optimization exercises.
N
- Generate simulation reports and present technical findings to customers and stakeholders.
N
- Support model integration, MIL/SIL/HIL activities, and automation of simulation workflows.
N
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including calibration, controls, vehicle integration, and testing teams.
N
nRequired Skills

- Strong knowledge of MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, and Simscape.
N
- Experience in powertrain system modeling and simulation.
N
- Understanding of IC engines, transmissions, hybrid and electric vehicle architectures.
N
- Experience with vehicleperformance, fuel economy, and energy management simulations.
N
- Positive analytical and troubleshooting skills.
N
- Knowledge of control systems and model-based development processes.
N
- Experience in automation using MATLAB scripting.

nPreferred Skills

- Experience with CALSim or equivalent powertrain simulation tools.
N
- Exposure to MIL, SIL, and HIL validation methods.
N
- Understanding of OBD, emissions, thermal management, and calibration processes.

- Familiarity with ISO 26262 and automotive development processes.
