Role & responsibilities

- Develop and implement purchasing strategies and manage daily purchasing activities, supplier database, purchase records and documentation.

- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts, prices and timelines, proposing improvements that strengthen vendor relationships and lower cost.

- Drive cost-reduction initiatives localization, standardization, alternate sourcing, VAVE and year-on-year volume discounts.

- Ensure on-time receipt of the right material and quantity to avoid line-down situations, and manage shortages, over/under orders and non-conforming goods.

- Plan, organize and conduct price negotiations, working closely with operations to maximize quality and delivery and minimize lead time.

- Reduce and control Purchase Price Variance (PPV) to protect margins and avoid loss-making situations.

- Float RFQs and obtain competitive quotes from capable suppliers for new and re-sourcing projects, forecasting price and market trends.

- Sheetmetal, Plastic & Rubber, Machining

- Good Knowledge of Manufacturing processes,





- Support to NPD activities from Prototype development to mass production

- Support in Localization, Alternate Sourcing& Current development activities, Support in Cost reduction, VAVE Projects

- Track tooling developments status, project timelines & ensure on time completion of development activities, Prepare reports, documentation.

- Coordination with CFT for ongoing projects, trial builds, Engineering changes etc

- Participate in supplier visits, Supplier identification/consolidation activities & development meetings, Resolve development related issues.

- Good Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

- Good Communication & coordination skills, Global Interactions

- Basic Knowledge of APQP, PPAP,FMEA, Control plan, Process Flow, ECN/ECR

- Experience in Automotive /Machine Manufacturing/Sheetmetal Ind

- Exposure to VAVE and structured cost-reduction methodologies.

- Entrepreneurial, hands-on self-starter with strong time management.

- Experience in a global manufacturing environment.
