Exciting Opportunity in the Travel & Tourism Industry

Destination New South Wales is looking to appoint a Business Development Manager, India — an exciting opportunity to help drive tourism growth from one of the world's fastest-growing outbound travel markets. Destination NSW is the NSW Government agency responsible for delivering the state's visitor economy strategy and promoting Sydney and Regional NSW globally.

Based in India and reporting to the Country Manager, India , this role will play a key part in strengthening New South Wales' presence across the Indian travel trade ecosystem, working closely with airlines, wholesalers, OTAs, inbound operators, by focusing on business development, travel trade partnerships and industry engagement.

Destination NSW's Mumbai office currently includes a Country Manager, Business Development Manager and Administration Executive, highlighting the importance of the India market to NSW.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting implementation of business plans and initiatives.
- Driving business development and sales initiatives to increase visitation to Sydney and NSW.
- Building and managing airline and travel trade partnerships including wholesalers, OTAs,



retail and inbound operators
- Delivering co-operative marketing campaigns
- Driving travel trade education and training initiatives including trade familiarisation programs
- Identifying new opportunities to increase visitation to Sydney and Regional NSW
- Delivering successful partnership outcomes and measurable results

We're looking for:

- Deep understanding of the Indian outbound travel market
- Strong networks across travel trade, OTAs, airlines and tourism stakeholders
- Proven business development and partnership experience
- Commercial acumen and the ability to manage multi-stakeholder programs
- Passion for destination marketing and tourism growth
