Credit Assessment & Underwriting
- Review and assess unsecured loan applications received from branch and sales channels.
- Analyze applicant profiles, income documents, banking behavior, and credit bureau reports.
- Evaluate repayment capacity and identify potential credit risks.
- Take credit decisions within delegated authority limits or recommend cases for higher approval.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines.
Customer Verification & Due Diligence
- Conduct telephonic and field verification where required.
- Validate KYC documents, employment details, residential stability, and income sources.
- Identify potential fraud indicators and suspicious applications.
- Maintain thorough documentation of credit evaluations.
Portfolio Quality Management
- Monitor early delinquency trends and high-risk customer segments.
- Coordinate with collections teams for feedback on default patterns.
- Recommend corrective actions to improve portfolio performance.
- Ensure minimal slippages and maintain healthy asset quality.
Risk & Compliance
- Adhere to credit policy, risk framework, and audit requirements.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to fair lending practices.
- Detect and escalate fraud, policy deviations, and operational risks.
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining complete credit records.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with sales teams to ensure timely loan processing.
- Provide credit-related guidance to branch and sourcing teams.
- Coordinate with operations, underwriting, and collections functions for smooth loan disbursement and portfolio management.
MIS & Reporting
- Maintain accurate credit processing records.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Track approval ratios, turnaround time (TAT), and portfolio performance indicators.
