Role:-Bookkeeper – Australian Accounting & Taxation (MYOB & Xero)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper with hands-on expertise in Australian accounting and taxation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and assisting with preparation of individual and company tax returns. Proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks is essential.

Key Responsibilities

 Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries

 Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

 Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations

 Process and manage payroll, including STP compliance and superannuation

 Prepare and assist in BAS,



IAS, and GST reporting

 Assist in preparation of Australian Individual & Company Tax Returns

 Manage invoicing, payment follow-ups, and cash flow tracking

 Ensure compliance with Australian tax laws and accounting standards

 Work with accounting software such as Xero and MYOB

 Liaise with accountants, clients, and internal stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications

 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

 Proven experience in Australian bookkeeping and taxation

 Strong knowledge of GST, BAS, IAS, and payroll regulations

 Hands-on experience with Xero and MYOB

 Solid understanding of AP/AR and reconciliation processes

 High attention to detail and accuracy

 Strong organizational and time management skills

 Good communication skills (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications

 Experience working with Australian clients or accounting firms

 Knowledge of ATO compliance and reporting requirements

 Certification in Xero or MYOB (preferred but not mandatory)
