ROLE OVERVIEW

Brooks Bakery is looking for a skilled and dependable Bakery Incharge to manage the day-to-day baking operations of our home-run bakery. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on baker with strong organizational instincts — someone who takes pride in consistency, presentation, and freshness, and who can be trusted to run the bakery counter and kitchen with minimal supervision. This role works closely with Urvashi and is central to the guest experience at Brooks Villa.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Bake and ice cakes to fulfil both complimentary and chargeable cake orders, ensuring quality, presentation and timely delivery.
- Bake and prepare pastries, tea cakes, cookies and muffins on a daily basis for high tea and breakfast service.
- Bake, prepare and replenish desserts for the chargeable dessert counter, keeping the display fresh and well-stocked throughout the day.
- Assist Urvashi in preparing and supervising the baking of bread orders, whether complimentary or chargeable.




- Maintain the daily inventory of bakery ingredients and leftover stock, and proactively devise ways to reduce wastage.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

- Proven experience in baking, icing and cake decoration.
- Working knowledge of pastry, bread and dessert preparation.
- Good understanding of inventory management and portion control.
- Strong sense of hygiene, timeliness and presentation.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the bakery's daily output.
- A cooperative attitude and willingness to support the wider kitchen team when required.
