We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer with 5+ years of experience in building scalable, high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in either Python or Scala, along with experience designing distributed systems, developing RESTful APIs, and working with cloud-native technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python or Scala.

- Build secure, reliable, and high-performing RESTful APIs and microservices.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.

- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.

- Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions.

- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployments.

Required Skills

- 5+ years of backend development experience.

- Strong proficiency in either Python or Scala (expertise in one is sufficient).

- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures,



and algorithms.

- Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.

- Hands-on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.

- Experience with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.

- Solid problem-solving and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with event-driven or distributed system architectures.

- Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.

- Experience with automated testing frameworks and performance optimization.

- Understanding of security best practices for backend applications.
