Relevant Experience Required - 3+ years

Location - Khar Road, Mumbai.

Work Mode - Work From Office Only

Technical (L2 Support & Engineering)

- Act as Level 3 escalation for complex Commvault issues (backup failures, performance degradation, DR restores, corruption, catalog issues).
- Design, implement, and maintain Commvault backup and recovery architectures for large enterprise environments.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting on:

1. Backup/restore failures MediaAgent and storage issues
2. Deduplication, indexing, and catalog performance
3. Disaster Recovery (DR) and Bare Metal Recovery (BMR)
4. Lead major restore events, ransomware recovery, and cyber-recovery scenarios.

- Upgrade, patch, and migrate Commvault environments with minimal downtime.
- Architecture & Optimization Design scalable backup solutions for physical, virtual (VMware/Hyper-V), databases, NAS, and cloud workloads.
- Optimize backup windows, storage utilization, deduplication ratios, and performance.
- Implement Commvault security features (encryption, access control, anomaly detection, immutable backups).
- Integrate Commvault with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and object storage.
- Operations & Governance Define and maintain backup policies, retention, SLAs, and compliance requirements.
- Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation. Ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and data protection standards.
- Coordinate with storage, server, virtualization, and security teams.



Leadership & Mentoring Mentor L1/L2 support teams and provide technical guidance.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and post-incident reviews. Engage with Commvault support for critical incidents and product escalations.

Required Skills & Experience

- Technical Skills Strong hands-on experience with Commvault Complete Data Protection.
- Deep knowledge of: MediaAgents, CommCells, Storage Policies Deduplication, DASH Full, Synthetic Fulls Indexing, CommServe HA/DR Experience with:
- VMware / Hyper-V backups Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, SAP HANA, Exchange) NAS & file system backups
- OS knowledge: Windows & Linux Storage concepts: SAN, NAS, object storage Scripting/automation (PowerShell, Bash) nice to have. Experience
- 6- 10+ years in backup & recovery / data protection
- 3-5+ years of robust Commvault administration and engineering experience.
- Experience in enterprise or large-scale environments.

Certifications (Preferred)

- Commvault Certified Professional (CCP)
- Commvault Certified Engineer (CCE)
- Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) a plus Soft Skills Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to handle high-pressure incidents and outages
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders Documentation and knowledge-sharing mindset.
