We are looking for a strong Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to build and scale high-performance systems for a product-based environment. The role involves working on core backend architecture, APIs, and scalable services.

Responsibilities

- Design and develop scalable backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript.

- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of applications.
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams for end-to-end delivery.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Participate in system design and architecture discussions.
- Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, APIs, and databases.
- Experience working with and building backend systems that have been used in the real world.
- Ability to navigate different stages of product development - from scrappy MVPs to scalable architectures.

Requirements

- 3-6 years of backend development experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Node.js .
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of APIs, backend architecture, and system design basics.
- Experience working in product-based companies (mandatory).
- Good problem-solving skills and understanding of data structures.

Good to Have

- Experience with NestJS.
- Exposure to microservices architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).




- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

Candidate Profile

- Open to relocation to Mumbai if currently based elsewhere.
- Preference for candidates who have worked across multiple cities/locations, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Comfortable with 5-day work-from-office setup.
- Robust ownership mindset and ability to work in fast-paced product environments.
