Role Description The AWS Network and Security Architect will design, implement, and optimize secure network architectures on AWS to support enterprise-scale AI and digital transformation initiatives. This contract role is based in the Greater Bengaluru Area in a hybrid arrangement, combining on-site collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility.

Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing current network and security postures, defining architecture standards and best practices, and creating detailed designs for VPCs, routing, connectivity, and security controls. The architect will configure and review firewalls, security groups, IAM policies, and encryption mechanisms, and oversee implementation, testing, and documentation of network and security solutions.



The role also involves partnering with cross-functional teams, conducting risk assessments and security reviews, supporting incident response and remediation, and ensuring compliance with relevant security and regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications

- Strong AWS architecture skills, including VPC design, subnetting, routing, security groups, NACLs, VPN and Direct Connect, and experience with hybrid cloud environments.
- Proficiency in network technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, load balancing, firewalls, SD-WAN, and network performance tuning.
- Robust security expertise across IAM, encryption, key management, zero-trust principles, security monitoring, and vulnerability management.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD integration for network and security configurations.
- Familiarity with compliance and security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, GDPR) and ability to design controls to meet regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear architectural diagrams, design documents, runbooks, and technical standards for network and security solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineering, security, operations, and business stakeholders in a hybrid work environment.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional), AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or equivalent network/security credentials are
