About The Role We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team at Dhruv Technology Solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Manufacturing Execution System (MES) integration with shopfloor equipment, facilitating seamless data exchange between manufacturing hardware and enterprise platforms. This role is pivotal in enabling real-time visibility, control, and optimization of production processes through robust system integration.

The Automation

Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including production, IT, and digital transformation units to develop, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure automation solutions. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work on innovative projects that significantly impact manufacturing efficiency and digital maturity.

Qualifications The successful candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.



Proven hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, or Omron is essential. A solid understanding of MES systems and ISA-95 architecture is required, along with familiarity with industrial communication protocols including OPC UA, Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, and SECS/GEM standards.

Programming proficiency in Python, Java, or .NET, combined with solid database skills in SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, is necessary. Additional preferred skills include experience with Industry 4.0/IIoT implementations, vision systems integration, cloud platforms like Azure or AWS IoT, and familiarity with manufacturing standards such as GEM II and SECS/GEM protocols.

Responsibilities Implement MES integration with shopfloor equipment, including PLCs, CNCs, sensors, and vision systems, ensuring accurate and reliable data exchange.

Configure and manage communication protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, and Profibus to facilitate seamless connectivity between hardware and software systems.

Integrate MES with SCADA/HMI systems and enterprise platforms like ERP and databases to enable real-time production tracking and reporting.

Develop APIs and middleware solutions for efficient data acquisition, orchestration, and system interoperability.

Enable real-time machine monitoring, production visibility, and reporting to support decision-making processes.





Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software integration issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.

Ensure that all systems adhere to security standards, scalability requirements, and reliability benchmarks.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan, design, and implement automation projects aligned with organizational goals.

Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve integration methodologies and system capabilities.
