About The Role We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team at Dhruv Technology Solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Manufacturing Execution System (MES) integration with shopfloor equipment, playing a pivotal role in enabling seamless data exchange between manufacturing hardware and enterprise systems.

This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust integration solutions that facilitate real-time visibility, control, and analytics of production processes.

The Automation

Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including production, IT, and digital transformation units to ensure the deployment of scalable and secure automation architectures. The position offers an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled professional to contribute to transformative projects that drive operational excellence and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.



Candidates should demonstrate hands-on experience with PLC programming and industrial communication protocols, including Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, and Omron PLCs.

A strong understanding of MES systems aligned with ISA-95 standards, along with experience working with SCADA systems, OPC UA, and other industrial protocols, is essential. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or .NET, along with solid database knowledge (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL), is required.

Experience with Industry 4.0/IIoT, vision systems, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS IoT), and manufacturing-specific standards like SECS/GEM will be considered advantageous. The candidate should also possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities Implement and manage MES integration with shopfloor equipment, including PLCs, CNCs, sensors, and vision systems, ensuring seamless data flow and operational consistency. Configure and maintain communication protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, and SECS/GEM to facilitate reliable hardware-software interaction.

Develop and deploy APIs, middleware, and data acquisition modules to support real-time production tracking, machine monitoring, and reporting functionalities. Collaborate with production teams to understand operational requirements and translate them into technical solutions.



Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across hardware and software layers, minimizing downtime and ensuring system reliability.

Ensure all systems adhere to security standards, scalability requirements, and industry best practices. Work closely with IT and digital transformation teams to align automation strategies with enterprise objectives, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and Industry 4.0 adoption.
