Role Description The Autocad Drafter will create and revise technical drawings for steel plant equipment, including electromagnets, separators, grabs, and related machinery, using CAD software. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing detailed shop drawings, coordinating with engineers and project teams, interpreting design specifications, and ensuring that drawings comply with industry standards and company guidelines.

The role also involves updating drawings based on feedback, maintaining drawing records,



and supporting documentation for manufacturing and installation. This is a part time, hybrid role based in Kolkata, with some work-from-home flexibility depending on project needs.

Qualifications

- Ability to produce precise Technical Drawing and general Drawing documentation using CAD tools.
- Experience creating and revising Shop Drawings for fabrication, assembly, and installation.
- Skills in developing Architectural Drawings and understanding basic Architecture concepts where relevant to equipment layouts.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of mechanical or industrial design principles, ideally related to heavy machinery or steel plant equipment.
- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Drafting, Architecture, or a related technical field preferred.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, production teams, and project managers.
- Capability to manage part-time schedules, meet deadlines, and work in a hybrid environment (onsite in Kolkata and remote).
