Position Summary

As a Draughtsman, the role involves collaborating with project teams to design and optimize solar energy systems using specialized software and simulation tools. Responsibilities include preparing detailed engineering drawings, conducting feasibility studies and site assessments, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards. The engineer will work with cross-functional teams, evaluate components, review performance data, and stay updated with industry trends.

Core Responsibilities

- Assist in the design and planning of solar energy projects.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop solar system layouts and specifications.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather relevant data for project design.
- Utilize solar design software and simulation tools to model system performance.
- Assist in the preparation of technical documentation,



engineering drawings, and reports.
- Support the evaluation and selection of solar components and equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met.
- Assist in the coordination of project logistics and procurement.
- Monitor and analyze solar system performance data for optimization.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices.
- Assist in conducting feasibility studies for potential solar projects.
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and training sessions to enhance knowledge.
- Provide support in project documentation, reporting, and record-keeping.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address technical inquiries and concerns.
- Adapt to changing project requirements and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
- Collaborate with team members to develop innovative solutions for challenges.
- Assist in project coordination tasks and progress tracking.
- Support the development of cost estimates and budgeting for projects.
- Display a proactive attitude towards learning and professional development.
- Assist in conducting quality checks and reviews of solar project designs.
- Participate in site inspections and evaluations to assess project progress.
- Contribute to a positive and team-oriented work environment.
- Support senior engineers in various tasks related to solar engineering projects.

Education Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering

Technical Skills and Experience

Software Proficiency

- Understanding of AutoCAD
- Understanding of PVSyst, Helioscope and other basic solar engineering software
- MS Office

Renewable Energy Systems:




- Understanding of solar energy systems and their integration into existing infrastructure.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, energy storage, and grid integration.
- Familiarity with solar photovoltaic technologies, components, and system design.

- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take ideas and run with them from concept to conclusion.
