Network Security Operations - Associate The Network Security Operations – Associate is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of network security solutions that protect organizational infrastructure from cyber threats. This entry-level role focuses on assisting senior engineers in deploying and managing security technologies, monitoring network activity, and ensuring compliance with security standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in configuring and maintaining firewalls, proxies, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security appliances.

- Support network monitoring and analysis to detect anomalies and potential threats.

- Help investigate and resolve security incidents under guidance from senior engineers.

- Perform basic troubleshooting of network connectivity and security issues.

- Maintain accurate documentation of network security configurations, policies, and procedures.

- Assist in audits and ensure adherence to organizational security standards.





- Collaborate with IT teams to identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.

- Stay updated on emerging security technologies and best practices.

Needed Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and OSI model.

- Solid foundation in network basics for tracing and analyzing traffic flows (e.g., packet capture, routing paths.

- Familiarity with network security tools (firewalls, proxies, VPN).

- Solid knowledge of firewall policies and Access Control Lists (ACLs) for securing network traffic.

- Ability to script or automate tasks using Python, Shell, or similar languages is a plus.

Experience (Preferred)

- 1-2 year of relevant experience in network security or IT infrastructure is desired

Certifications (Preferred)

- CompTIA Security+, Network+, Cisco CCNA, or similar entry-level certifications
