Role Description The Assistant Professor will be responsible for planning and delivering lectures, seminars, and workshops in their area of specialization, ensuring that course content aligns with ISSM’s academic standards and industry expectations. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing teaching materials, assessing student performance, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate academic records.

The role also involves engaging in curriculum development, participating in academic committees, mentoring students on projects and internships, and contributing to academic research or scholarly activities.

The Assistant

Professor is expected to collaborate with colleagues, support accreditation and quality initiatives,



and take part in departmental events and outreach activities. This is a full time, on-site role based at ISSM Business School in Chennai.

Qualifications

- Relevant postgraduate degree (preferably PhD or pursuing PhD) in Management or related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrated teaching skills with the ability to design and deliver engaging, learner-centered classroom and experiential sessions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse learner groups.
- Research aptitude with interest in publishing, case development, consulting, or industry-oriented projects.
- Ability to use digital tools and learning technologies, including LMS platforms, presentation software, and online collaboration tools.
- Commitment to academic integrity, student development, and inclusive, non-discriminatory educational practices.
- Prior teaching or industry experience in business, management, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary faculty team and contribute to institutional growth initiatives.
