Role Description The Assistant Professor role at Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The role involves designing and delivering high-quality lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions aligned with the curriculum and the university’s emphasis on blending traditional and contemporary knowledge.

The Assistant

Professor is expected to engage in scholarly research, publish in relevant academic forums, and contribute to curriculum development and academic innovation. Daily responsibilities include mentoring students, supervising projects or dissertations,



conducting assessments, and providing timely, constructive feedback. The role also includes participation in departmental meetings, academic committees, outreach initiatives, and activities that support the university’s mission and community engagement.

Qualifications

- Relevant postgraduate or doctoral degree in a discipline offered by the university (such as engineering, commerce, management, psychology, Sanskrit, or education) from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrated teaching ability in higher education, including experience in preparing lesson plans, delivering lectures, and evaluating student performance.
- Evidence of academic research activity, such as publications, conference presentations, or ongoing research projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide, mentor, and support a diverse student body.
- Familiarity with student-centered pedagogy, blended learning approaches, and effective use of educational technology.
- Alignment with the university’s values and mission, including openness to integrating Indian knowledge systems with modern academic practice.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues, contribute to departmental initiatives, and participate in institutional development activities.
- Prior experience in curriculum design, academic administration, or accreditation-related work is an advantage.
