Position Overview:

As an Assistant Manager within the Trade Support Bonds (AMER) team at BNP Paribas India Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operational execution of Bonds, MBS, and Repo activities. This is a high-visibility leadership position responsible for managing a specialized Bond Trade Support team and maintaining critical interactions with Sales, Trading, and Clients in the US market. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence through robust control frameworks, mentor team members, and manage complex stakeholder relationships across global Front, Middle, and Back Office functions.

Given the regional focus, this role requires a commitment to working EST (Eastern Standard Time) hours to provide real-time support to the Americas perimeter.

Job Responsibilities

- Deliver efficient, well-controlled operational support for Bonds, MBS, and Repo activities within the Global Market and ALMT perimeter.
- Manage trade exceptions, reconcile discrepancies between front-office pre-confirmations and deal capture systems, and resolve settlement issues.
- Oversee the accurate collection, maintenance, and update of client SSIs (Standard Settlement Instructions) and trade confirmation details.
- Actively contribute to the BNPP operational permanent control framework to mitigate fraud risks and minimize operational failures.
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements, the BNPP Code of Conduct, and AML/Financial Sanctions policies, including the prompt escalation of any hits.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with global Front, Middle,



and Back Office stakeholders to ensure seamless trade lifecycle management.
- Identify and immediately escalate operational, compliance, or control issues to management and relevant permanent control functions.
- Lead and develop the Bond Trade Support team, fostering professional growth and providing strong leadership to ensure operational excellence.
- Ensure continuous operational coverage by working shifts aligned with US (EST) time zones and providing support to Asia-based marketers and traders.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) with 8+ years of Investment Banking (IB) Bond Operations experience, specifically within Trade Support functions.
- Proven track record in providing efficient, well-controlled operational support for Bonds, MBS, and Repo products within a Global Market/ALMT perimeter.
- Full willingness and ability to work EST (Eastern Standard Time) hours to provide dedicated support to the AMER region.
- Advanced competency in MS Office Suite (specifically Excel) and the ability to rapidly master new financial software and systems.
- Robust analytical capabilities with the ability to anticipate business evolutions, adapt processes, and support strategic change.




- A high degree of financial and operational aptitude with a rigorous focus on maintaining control frameworks and minimizing risk.
- Ability to explain complex processes, share knowledge effectively, and leverage professional networks to drive results.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically, make sound decisions, and perform under pressure while managing multiple priorities in both team and independent settings.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

- Deep knowledge of, and a proactive interest in, financial markets.
- Ability to work comfortably across diverse groups including Sales, Trading, Accounting, Technology, and other Middle Office teams.

Business Overview Global Market Operations, also known as the Client Operating Center of Excellence (COCE), is divided into four key departments: Trade Processing & Support, Product Control, Client Management, and Change Management.

Product

Control (equivalent to the Middle Office in other institutions) consists of several streams, including Documentation & Reconciliation, Trade Support, P&L;, and Trading Portfolio & Controls.

Product

Control teams maintain regular contact with Market Front Office, Regional Back Office, Regional Finance, and other support teams to ensure Business As Usual (BAU) operations.
