Role Description The Assistant Manager Production is a full-time, in office role based in Faridabad, responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities and ensuring that output meets quality, cost, and delivery targets. This role includes planning and scheduling production, monitoring line performance, and coordinating with procurement, quality, and maintenance teams to avoid delays and minimize downtime.

The Assistant Manager

Production will supervise production staff, assign tasks, track productivity, and ensure adherence to safety standards and standard operating procedures. Typical responsibilities include analyzing production data, implementing process improvements, resolving operational issues, and reporting on key performance indicators to senior management.



The role also involves training team members, supporting audits, and maintaining accurate documentation for compliance and internal controls.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for manufacturing operations.
- Ability to monitor production lines, optimize workflows, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience supervising shop-floor teams, assigning tasks, and fostering a safe, disciplined work environment.
- Knowledge of quality control practices, basic root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action implementation.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, machinery handling, and coordination with maintenance for uptime.
- Proficiency in using production reporting tools, spreadsheets, and basic ERP or MIS systems.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional coordination with procurement, quality, logistics, and management.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Relevant academic background, such as a diploma or degree in Production, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or home products/consumer goods environment is preferred.
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and ethical work practices, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
