Job Summary
The Food Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing all food service operations, vendor management, quality standards, food safety compliance, customer satisfaction, and budget management. The role ensures the delivery of high-quality dining experiences while maintaining operational efficiency, hygiene standards, and cost control across cafeterias, pantries, catering services, and hospitality operations.
Key Responsibilities
Food Service Operations
- Manage daily cafeteria, pantry, and catering operations.
- Ensure seamless food service delivery during business hours and special events.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, taste, and service standards.
- Ensure adequate staffing and operational readiness.
Vendor Management
- Manage food service vendors and catering partners.
- Conduct regular performance reviews against SLAs and KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and service standards.
- Resolve operational and service-related escalations promptly.
Food Safety Compliance
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI guidelines and food safety standards.
- Conduct regular hygiene inspections of kitchens, pantries, and dining areas.
- Monitor food handling, storage, and waste management practices.
- Maintain regulatory documentation, certifications, and audit records.
Customer Experience Management
- Drive employee satisfaction through high-quality food and service standards.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback.
- Implement menu enhancements and service improvement initiatives.
- Address customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
Budget Cost Control
- Manage operational budgets and food service expenses.
- Monitor consumption trends and optimize food costs.
- Implement measures to minimize food wastage.
- Review invoices, billing accuracy, and monthly cost reports.
Catering Event Management
- Plan and execute food arrangements for meetings, events, town halls, and leadership visits.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to meet event requirements.
- Ensure timely and quality delivery of catering services.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct periodic food tasting and quality audits.
- Monitor menu variety, nutritional balance, and seasonal offerings.
- Ensure compliance with organization-specific hospitality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Team Management
- Lead in office FB coordinators and vendor teams.
- Conduct performance reviews and coaching sessions.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and workforce planning.
- Promote a culture of safety, service excellence, and accountability.
Sustainability Waste Management
- Implement food waste reduction programs.
- Support sustainability and environmental initiatives.
- Monitor waste segregation and disposal practices.
- Promote eco-friendly packaging and resource optimization.
