Assistant Manager Regulatory Affairs - Food & Beverage – 10+ years - Mumbai

Summary –

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Regulatory Affairs to support regulatory compliance, food labeling, and product approvals for food and beverage products across domestic and international markets. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of FSSAI regulations, food labeling requirements, and regulatory documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product compliance throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities –

1. Ensure product formulations comply with FSSAI, Legal Metrology, export, and international food regulations.
2. Review, verify, and approve product labels, artwork, ingredient declarations, nutrition facts, and mandatory regulatory information before commercialization.
3. Partner with Product Development, Quality Assurance, Marketing, Legal, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure regulatory compliance across new and existing product portfolios.
4. Prepare and maintain regulatory documentation, product compliance records, specifications, and support regulatory submissions, audits, and product registrations.
5. Monitor regulatory updates, interpret changes in food legislation,



support new product development activities, and coordinate with external laboratories and vendors for regulatory requirements.

Requirements –

1. B.Tech/M.Tech in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related discipline.
2. 5–8 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs, Food Compliance, Food Labeling, or Product Compliance within the Food & Beverage or FMCG industry.
3. Strong understanding of FSSAI Regulations, Food Safety & Standards Act, Legal Metrology, nutrition labeling, and international food regulations.
4. Experience in reviewing packaging artwork, regulatory documentation, ingredient declarations, and nutrition information for food products.
5. Strong communication, analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
