NPrincipal Tasks and Responsibilities

- Lead the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) team and drive overall patent strategy.
N
- Provide IP support to API, NCE, Formulation, NDDS, Biotech, New Product Development (NPD), Marketing, Business teams, Cadila subsidiaries, and research collaborators.
N
- Review patent literature and develop ANDA filing strategies for selected products.
N
- Support Current Product Selection activities by analyzing granted patents and patent applications.
N
- Ensure the Freedom to Operate (FTO) for Cadila's API, NCE, and Formulation products across various global markets.
N
- Provide IP clearance for proposed strategies related to API, NCE, Formulation Development (FnD), and NDDS projects.
N
- Prepare and submit comprehensive written FTO and non-infringement analysis reports within stipulated timelines.
N
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for securing new intellectual property rights.

- Design and implement patent filing strategies for obtaining patent protection in key global territories.
N
- Draft, file, prosecute,and defend patent applications by responding to office actions to secure patent grants worldwide.
N
- Effectively manage the company's patent portfolio and related IP assets.
N
- Conduct third-party intellectual property due diligence.
N
- Organize and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions on patents and intellectual property.
N
- Motivate, mentor, and guide the IPR team to achieve high performance and continuous improvement.

- File post-grant oppositions whenever required.
N
- Defend granted patents against challenges and oppositions.
N
- Conduct comprehensive literature searches using paid and public patent databases such as SciFinder and PatSeer.
N
- Prepare, review, and evaluate Patent Landscape Reports, Literature Search Reports (LSRs), Formulation Disclosure Reports, and Literature Toolkit (LTK) reports.

- Monitor global patent trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to support strategic business decisions.
