About the Role

We are looking for a creative, responsible and detail-oriented Assistant Fashion Designer to work closely with the Owner and assist her with design development, execution, follow-ups and day-to-day design-related work.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Owner with day-to-day design work and execution.

Take follow-ups on the Owners behalf with tailors, karigars, vendors, fabric suppliers and production teams.

Manage and follow up on samples, stitching, alterations, embroidery, fittings and production.

Assist with fabric sourcing, mood boards, design references, patterns and other design requirements.

Keep track of ongoing work and update the Owner regularly.

Assist the Owner during shoots, client meetings, events and collection development.

Skills & Requirements

Should be well aware of current fashion trends and seasonal fashion trends.





Should have good knowledge of colours of the season, colour combinations and colour palettes.

Should have good taste in fashion and a strong eye for aesthetics.

Good understanding and knowledge of patterns, silhouettes and garment construction.

Should have good knowledge of measurements, fitting and garment proportions.

Good understanding of fabrics, textures and trims.

Should be able to understand a design/reference and communicate it correctly to the tailor or karigar.

Good communication and follow-up skills.

Creative, hardworking, responsible and able to manage work independently.

Knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop or Canva will be an added advantage.

Ideal Candidate: Someone with solid fashion knowledge, good taste and attention to detail, who can understand the Owners requirements and efficiently take care of the work from design concept to execution.Role & responsibilities
