Assistant Chess Coach – Part-Time

Bhatt Chess Academy, Vadodara is looking for a passionate and responsible Assistant Chess Coach to join our growing academy.

Location: Gotri / New Alkapuri, Vadodara

Timing: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Working days: 6 days a week

Hours: 24 hours per week

Salary: Starting from ₹8,000 per month

Responsibilities

- Assist the head coach during regular chess classes
- Teach and guide beginner and intermediate-level students
- Help students with chess fundamentals, tactics and puzzles
- Conduct practice games and activities
- Observe students and help track their progress
- Maintain discipline and keep students engaged
- Help students prepare for tournaments
- Assist with academy activities and tournaments

Requirements:
- Good knowledge and playing strength in chess
- Previous coaching experience is an advantage, but not compulsory
- Tournament experience is preferred
- Good communication skills
- Patient, friendly and comfortable working with children
- Responsible and punctual
- Willingness to learn and improve as a coach
- Gujarati/Hindi/English communication skills are an advantage

Chess-playing students, college students and young players interested in building a career in chess coaching are welcome to apply.

Important

This is a regular long-term position, not a short-term opportunity.





Candidates must be able to consistently commit to the 4:00 PM–8:00 PM schedule.

Minimum commitment of 6 months is expected. Candidates who anticipate relocating, taking a full time job, or having major schedule changes in the next 6 months are requested not to apply.

Selection Process

- Shortlisted candidates will first have a brief interview
- Candidates who clear the interview will be invited for a practical demo class
- The demo class will assess chess knowledge, teaching ability, communication skills and ability to handle children
- Final selection will be based on overall performance in the interview and demo class

Growth Opportunity: The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow within the academy and take on greater coaching responsibilities based on performance.

Training and guidance will be provided to the selected candidate.
