Role Description The Article Assistant will support audit, taxation, and advisory engagements under the guidance of senior team members. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in statutory and internal audits, preparing working papers, performing basic financial and tax computations, and helping with documentation and report drafting.

The role also involves collecting and analyzing client data, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with client teams to obtain necessary information.

Assistant will be expected to learn and apply accounting standards, tax laws, and firm methodologies, while adhering to timelines and quality benchmarks. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Kolkata Area.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in accounting principles, auditing concepts, and basic taxation, with the ability to apply these in practical assignments.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfort with technology‑enabled tools used for audit, documentation, and compliance.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including clear documentation, report writing, and qualified client interaction.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving skills to review financial data and identify variances or issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams, follow professional instructions, manage time well, and meet deadlines during busy periods.
- Enrollment in or completion of CA articleship eligibility (as per ICAI norms), with a relevant academic background in commerce, accounting, or finance.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and a willingness to learn continuously in a structured, performance‑driven environment.
- Prior internship or exposure in audit or accounting firms is an advantage but not mandatory.
