Role Description The Article Assistant will support audit and assurance assignments, primarily in the banking sector, including documentation, working papers, and fieldwork under the guidance of senior team members. Day-to-day tasks will include collecting and verifying financial data, assisting in statutory and internal audits, preparing schedules and reports, and helping with compliance checks and analytical reviews.
The role will also involve coordinating with clients, maintaining organized records, and contributing to research on accounting, audit, and regulatory updates relevant to engagements. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, requiring regular interaction with partners, staff, and client teams.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and basic taxation concepts.
- Candidates should possess skills in documentation, working paper preparation, and report drafting with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word) and basic computer and IT skills relevant to audit and compliance work.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with team members and client representatives.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Enrolment as an Article Assistant under CA regulations or pursuit of a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA course) would be beneficial.
- Relevant internship or prior exposure to audit, banking, or financial services will be an added advantage.
