Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Apigee X Developer with 3+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting API solutions using Google Apigee X . The candidate should have robust knowledge of API proxies, policies, API security, analytics, traffic management, logging, caching, and API lifecycle management.

The ideal candidate should be capable of independently developing and supporting API solutions and translating business and technical requirements into secure, scalable, and reliable API implementations.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, implement, and manage API solutions using Google Apigee X .
- Develop and configure API proxies, proxy endpoints, target endpoints, flows, and shared flows .
- Implement and manage Apigee policies for security, traffic management, mediation, transformation, and data handling.
- Configure API security mechanisms including authentication, authorization, OAuth 2.0, API keys, and related security policies.
- Implement API-layer requirements such as:
- Security
- Custom analytics
- Throttling
- Rate limiting
- Quota management
- Caching
- Logging
- Request/response transformation
- Configure and manage Apigee analytics and develop custom analytics solutions based on business requirements.
- Monitor API performance, traffic, errors, latency, and overall API health.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex API, proxy, policy, connectivity, and runtime issues.
- Analyze API failures and identify root causes while implementing appropriate corrective actions.
- Manage APIs throughout their lifecycle, including development, deployment, testing, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Work closely with application, security, DevOps,



and infrastructure teams to implement API integration requirements.
- Ensure APIs follow enterprise security, performance, scalability, and governance standards.
- Support API deployments across different environments and assist with release activities.
- Develop reusable API components and follow best practices for Apigee API management.

Required Technical Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Apigee , preferably Apigee X.
- Strong experience in Google Apigee X .

- Strong understanding of Apigee Analytics .
- Experience troubleshooting complex API issues.
- Experience implementing custom API-layer requirements.
- Good understanding of Google Cloud / Google iPaaS ecosystem.
- Good understanding of REST APIs and API integration concepts.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Knowledge of CI/CD and API deployment processes.
- Experience with Git and DevOps tools.
- Knowledge of JavaScript or Java for Apigee custom policies/callouts is an advantage.
- Understanding of API security and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
