Title: Angular Developer
Location: Pune / Hyderabad / Mohali / Remote
Responsibilities:
- Lead design and implementation of user-facing features using modern Angular (standalone components/modules as applicable), TypeScript, and RxJS.
- Design and deliver highly responsive, accessible, and pixel-accurate UIs from wireframes/prototypes.
- Build and maintain a library of reusable Angular components, directives, and UI primitives (documented via Storybook for Angular or equivalent).
- Implement scalable state management using Angular services + RxJS for local/shared state and NgRx (Store/Effects/Entity) for large-scale application state.
- Create reusable RxJS-based utilities (e.g., data access patterns, caching, form handling, feature flags) and shared libraries.
- Translate UX designs into performant Angular code using best practices (lazy-loaded routes, OnPush change detection, trackBy, deferrable views where applicable, virtual scrolling).
- Ensure robust REST API integration using HttpClient with standardised error handling, interceptors, retry/backoff strategies, and strongly typed models.
- Drive test-first development: unit tests (Jasmine/Karma or Jest), component/integration tests (Angular Testing Library where used), and end-to-end tests (Cypress/Playwright).
- Own performance profiling and optimisation across devices and browsers (Lighthouse budgets, bundle analysis, lazy loading, build optimisation).
- Define and enforce accessibility (WCAG) and keyboard-driven interactions across components (ARIA patterns).
- Mentor engineers, run knowledge transfer sessions, and coordinate cross-team integrations.
- Produce and maintain project documentation, delivery artefacts, and compliance/audit evidence.
- Reduce technical debt by proposing pragmatic refactors, architecture improvements, and risk mitigations.
- Collaborate with global/regional stakeholders and contribute to Agile/DevOps processes (CI/CD, code quality gates).
Qualifications:
- University degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- 610 years front-end experience; 4–5+ years hands-on with Angular 16+ (latest stable preferred) in recent projects.
- Domain advantage: Banking/Financial services experience is must.
- Deep proficiency in TypeScript, modern JavaScript, DOM, and browser internals.
- Strong experience with Angular fundamentals: components, templates, dependency injection, routing, forms, and change detection.
- Strong experience with RxJS (observables,
operators, subjects) and async patterns.
- Strong experience with NgRx (Store, Effects, selectors; optionally Entity/ComponentStore) and patterns for scalable state.
- Experience building theme-able component systems using SCSS, CSS variables, or equivalent styling approaches.
- Test-driven development experience with Angular unit testing and component testing; E2E testing with Jasmin/karma or equivalent.
- Proficient with REST API integration, async flows, and robust client-side error handling (interceptors, global error handling).
- Familiar with build tools and modern dev tooling: Angular CLI, npm/yarn, bundling/build optimization.
- Accessibility-first mindset and keyboard-driven development experience (ARIA patterns).
- Competent with browser debugging, performance profiling and tools (Chrome DevTools, Lighthouse).
- Solid troubleshooting, benchmarking, and optimization skills.
- Toolchain experience: Git, JIRA, SonarQube, Jenkins, Postman.
- Cloud and test automation experience is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
- Comfortable mentoring, training, and working in global, cross-timezone teams.
- Agile and DevOps practical experience.
Good To Have:
- Experience publishing and maintaining internal Angular libraries (npm registry, semantic versioning, Nx/workspaces).
- Experience with CI pipelines, Sonar quality gates, and automated release flows.
- Familiarity with modern Angular capabilities (standalone APIs, signals where adopted) and migration/upgrade practices.
Technical Skills:
- Angular 16+ (latest stable) + TypeScript + RxJS
- NgRx for global state; services/RxJS for local/shared state
- Styling: Angular Material + SCSS (or equivalent), themeable design system
- Testing: unit/component testing (Jasmine/Karma or Jest; Angular Testing Library where used); Jasmin/Karma for E2E
- Build tooling: Angular CLI, npm/yarn; bundle analysis and performance budgets
- CI: Jenkins/GitHub Actions; static quality: ESLint, Prettier, SonarQube
