Job Summary

We are looking for an AOSP / Android Platform Developer with 3 - 5 years of experience in Android platform development, focusing on middleware and framework layers. The candidate will be responsible for porting and validating custom security enhancements from legacy Android versions to Android 15 (AOSP) across multiple hardware platforms while ensuring compatibility, stability, and security.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze existing custom security features implemented on legacy Android middleware and map them to equivalent components in Android 15.
- Port and re-implement middleware-level security enhancements by addressing API changes, SELinux policy updates, and deprecated interfaces.
- Adapt, integrate, and validate the implementation across multiple SoC platforms, including Qualcomm and MediaTek.
- Build, flash, and debug custom AOSP images using Android build systems and vendor-specific configurations.
- Work with device trees, Android.bp, Android.mk, and platform build configurations.
- Develop and execute test cases to validate feature parity and eliminate security regressions.
- Support integration, debugging, and field validation activities.
- Document implementation details,



platform-specific changes, and design decisions for client handover.

Mandatory Skills
- 35 years of hands-on experience in AOSP / Android platform development (Middleware & Framework).
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Java at the Android system layer.
- Experience with Android build systems (Soong/Make), device bring-up, and custom ROM/image generation.
- Good understanding of Android security architecture, including SELinux, sepolicy, permissions, Keystore, Verified Boot, and system/vendor partition architecture.
- Experience with HAL, Binder, HIDL, AIDL, native services, and framework-to-HAL interactions.
- Proficiency in debugging using ADB, Logcat, Systrace, and native debugging tools on Android devices.

Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience working with multiple BSPs and vendor SDKs.
- Experience porting features across major Android version upgrades.
- Exposure to Android camera, audio, media, or conferencing frameworks.
- Experience with Git, Repo, and Gerrit in AOSP development environments.

Soft Skills
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualification
