Cataract is the leading cause of preventable blindness globally. After cataract surgery, majority of patients are dependent on spectacles or LASIK surgery for positive vision. Nayam Innovations is a clinical research stage Company developing a novel patient personalized freeform optics Intraocular lens (IOL) to give spectacle free vision to patients after their cataract surgery. The lens is designed to neutralize the optical aberrations in the visual path of the user.

The team is a mix of scientists, engineers and business development professionals hired from leading universities and business organizations globally

Role Description

- Assisting the research scientists and engineers in characterization and analysis of critical data.
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and calibrate GC systems.
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of samples
- Maintain detailed record of batches.
- Perform UV-Vis spectroscopic analysis for concentration determination and other types of material characterization.
- Develop and maintain analytical records, SOPs.
- Participate in Root cause analysis,



material development and improvement
- Cross functional collaboration with other teams to continuously improve methods and processes
- Salary range 7-9 lakh INR per annum

Qualifications

- M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry or Relevant field
- 2-3 year of Hands on experience handling GC-MS.
- Ability to individually analyse and interpret results.
- Experienced with Method development for GC & MS.
- Strong understanding of chromatographic and spectrometric principles
- Good data management and presentation skills.
- Understanding of other analytical/material characterization techniques such as GC-FID, GC-Headspace, LC-MS, UV-Vis is advantageous
- Willingness to learn new techniques, technologies, operation of new analytical equipment, purification methods.
- Creative thinker and a hard-working individual with process driven approach
