- Design and develop Airborne System Software.
- Develop and maintain scalable, modular, fault-tolerant, and portable software for Gogo Airborne Broadband Systems running on Embedded Linux platforms.
- Support WAN technologies including ATG, ATG4, Ku, 2Ku , etc
- Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, unit testing, and system testing.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering and Architecture teams to understand and implement evolving requirements.
- Work with Product Management teams on product roadmap and business objectives.
- Interface with Operations teams to support business continuity and system reliability.
- Provide technical leadership to software development teams in an Embedded Linux environment.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Embedded Linux software development .
- Strong Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and implementation skills.
- Robust programming and debugging skills in:
- Java
- C++
- Python
- Strong knowledge of IP Networking Protocols and Technologies .
- Experience with Database and Web Technologies .
- Experience in Agile Development (Stories & Sprints).
- Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Test Automation methodologies.
Preferred Skills
- Polyglot programming experience.
- Virtualization and containerization:
- Docker
- KVM
- VirtualBox
- Microservices architecture and event-driven system design.
- Knowledge of Software Performance Measurement and System Performance Analysis.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as:
- Jenkins
- Spinnaker
- Experience developing products for FAA-regulated aviation environments .
