Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Air Cargo operations Head to lead and manage our air cargo business operations at Mumbai (BOM) and Delhi (DEL). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in airline cargo, freight forwarding, cargo sales, operations, and business development . The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to build long-term relationships with airlines, freight forwarders, and key customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead team and oversee air cargo operations development.
- Develop and execute strategies to increase cargo revenue and market share through operation expertise.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
- Ensure smooth handling of import and export shipments while maintaining service quality.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Manage profitability, budgeting, and cost optimization across cargo operations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing operations teams.
- Monitor KPIs, prepare MIS reports, and drive continuous process improvements.
- Resolve operational issues and customer escalations in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with overseas partners and global agents to ensure seamless cargo movement.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the company's cargo network.





Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Aviation, or a related field.
- IATA/FIATA certification will be an added advantage. DG 7.1 is an advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 10 years of experience in air cargo or freight forwarding only .
- At least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven experience in air cargo operations and airline relationship management.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of international air cargo operations and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong negotiation and commercial acumen for efficient loading solutions.
- Sound knowledge of Customs, DGFT and IATA procedures.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in cargo management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work in a quick-paced, target-driven environment/ with availability 24/7 for any escalation or issues need solutions .
