Role & responsibilities

AI & Automation Project Management

- Lead end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of AI/ML, Gen. AI, Agentic AI and digitisation projects.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource plans in collaboration with technology and business teams.
- Manage multiple simultaneous projects using Agile, Scrum, or hybrid methodologies.
- Track project milestones, risks, dependencies, and budgets; proactively escalate and resolve bottlenecks.

AI & Technology Oversight
- Oversee implementation of AI/ML models, NLP tools, OCR, voice bots, chatbots, intelligent document processing (IDP).
- Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to ensure model deployment aligns with operational requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend AI tools, vendors, and technology platforms in line with RBI guidelines and bank's IT policy.
- Ensure data security, privacy, and explainability requirements are met for all AI deployments.

Stakeholder Management & Governance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and senior leadership.
- Prepare and present project status reports, dashboards, and executive presentations.
- Facilitate steering committee meetings, sprint reviews, and change management sessions.
- Ensure proper documentation, change control, and audit trails for all project activities.

Compliance & Risk Management




- Ensure all automation and AI initiatives comply with RBI circulars, data localisation norms, and internal risk policies.
- Work with the Compliance, Risk, and Internal Audit teams for sign-offs on AI models in regulated banking processes.
- Maintain SOX/IT audit readiness for all automated processes.

Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of business analysts, RPA developers, data engineers, and change management specialists.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to upskill operations staff on AI-enabled tools and digital workflows.

Technical Skills

- AI/ML, Gen. AI and Agentic AI project lifecycle management
- Agile / Scrum / Protected methodologies
- BRD / FRD / SRS documentation
- SQL, Python basics, API integrations
- Power BI / Tableau for project dashboards
- Jira / Azure DevOps / Confluence
- IDP / OCR / NLP tools knowledge

8 - 15 years of experience in a similar role within Banking/ NBFCs or Financial Institutions.
