Defmate is building India’s Sovereign AI & Decision Support System (DSS) for the Armed Forces.

Our vision is to develop indigenous AI infrastructure for mission-critical defence applications—from Defence Language Models and AI-powered decision intelligence to procurement platforms, 3D visualization, and digital defence ecosystems.

About the Role

We’re looking for an AI-native Intern who learns quickly, works independently, and uses AI as their primary way of solving problems.

Whether you’re from an Engineering (CS/IT/AI/ECE) or BBA/Business background, what matters most is your ability to leverage AI tools to deliver exceptional output.

You will work across product development, research, AI implementation, business operations, and strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities 1. AI-First Execution (30%)

- Use AI tools as your default way of working—not as an occasional productivity tool.
- Leverage ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Perplexity, and similar platforms to accelerate coding, research, documentation, presentations, and problem-solving.
- Continuously identify opportunities to automate workflows and improve execution.

2. Product & Website Support (25%)

- Support Defmate’s website and AI product development.
- Engineering interns will contribute to React, TypeScript, APIs,



and AI feature prototypes.
- Business interns will support product documentation, feature planning, structured content, and business requirements.

3. Research & Strategic Projects (20%)

- Research defence technologies, OEMs, AI companies, competitors, and procurement opportunities.
- Prepare structured reports, market intelligence, and briefing documents.
- Support proof-of-concept initiatives and partner evaluation for live opportunities.

4. Documentation & Operations (15%)

- Maintain project trackers, meeting notes, documentation, and knowledge repositories.
- Support cross-functional coordination and operational execution.

5. Ownership & Problem Solving (10%)

- Identify execution gaps before being asked.
- Recommend practical solutions.
- Take complete ownership of assigned work with minimal supervision.

Who Should Apply?

No prior professional experience is required. Must-Have Skills

- Demonstrated heavy use of AI tools in coursework, internships, or personal projects (this is the single most important requirement ).
- Strong curiosity and willingness to learn quickly.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.




- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Basic understanding of either:
- React, JavaScript, TypeScript, or web technologies, or
- Business research, documentation, presentations, and structured writing.
