Role Description The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts.

Responsibilities include preparing vouchers, invoices, and receipts, assisting with payroll processing, and ensuring timely payments to vendors and service providers. The role involves preparing financial statements, supporting budgeting and audits, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies, statutory regulations, and reporting requirements.



The Accountant will collaborate with academic and administrative departments to provide accurate financial data and respond to queries related to fees, expenditures, and financial records.

This is a full-time, on-site role based at the DSATM campus in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems) and MS Excel for financial analysis and record management.
- Ability to manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Understanding of taxation, statutory compliance, and audit support processes, preferably in an educational institution context.
- Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills for handling multiple financial tasks.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA) are an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with high standards of integrity and confidentiality in financial matters.
