About the Role

We are a SEBI-registered stock broking firm and Exchange Member seeking an experienced Accountant to manage books of accounts, client and exchange settlements, statutory compliances, and audit support with accuracy and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain day-to-day books of accounts, journal entries, and general ledger scrutiny

- Handle client ledger accounting, brokerage accounting, and reconciliation of client balances

- Reconcile bank accounts, exchange settlement accounts, and pay-in/pay-out entries on a daily basis

- Maintain segregation of client and own funds as per SEBI norms; assist in Enhanced Supervision reporting

- Account for margin deposits, collateral, FDs, bank guarantees, and exchange deposits

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financials — P&L;, Balance Sheet, and MIS reports

- Assist in Net Worth Certificate, Annual Audit, Internal Audit, and Exchange/SEBI inspections with data and reconciliations

- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and CA for finalisation of accounts

- Manage vendor payments, expense accounting,



payroll entries, and petty cash

- Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules

Required Skills & Qualifications

- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter or equivalent

- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in a stock broking firm (mandatory)

- Strong knowledge of client ledger, settlement, and brokerage accounting in the broking setting

- Working knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and STT provisions

- Proficiency in Tally ERP / Prime and broking back office software

- Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliations)

- Understanding of SEBI/Exchange accounting norms, client fund segregation, and quarterly settlement

- High accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet reporting deadlines

Preferred

- Experience in preparing Net Worth Certificates and handling Exchange inspections

- Exposure to DP (CDSL/NSDL) billing and reconciliation
