Role Description The Accountant role at New Shalimar Roadways is a full time, on-site position based in Indore. The individual in this role will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts.

Responsibilities include preparing invoices, processing vendor and customer payments, overseeing expense records, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The Accountant will assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and tax-related documentation,



as well as ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies. The role involves close collaboration with operations and management teams to provide accurate financial data, support budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in core accounting practices, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, with the ability to work with spreadsheets, financial models, and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of Indian taxation, statutory compliances, and basic regulatory requirements relevant to logistics and supply chain operations.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry and documentation, and strong organizational skills for handling multiple financial tasks.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with finance, operations, and management teams on-site in Indore.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in accounting within logistics, transportation, or related industries is preferred but not mandatory.
