About the Role

Hotwingz is looking for an experienced Accountant with a strong background in the restaurant sector to manage day-to-day financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and support smart business decisions through reliable data.

Key Responsibilities

- Accurate stock/inventory monitoring — track raw material usage, wastage, and variance against sales
- Perform daily day-close procedures (cash reconciliation, POS sales matching, till closing)
- Process payroll accurately and on time, including staff attendance, overtime, and deductions
- Monitor day-by-day business performance (sales, cost of goods sold, labor cost %)
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on income and expenditure
- Track and control food cost %, beverage cost %, and overall operating expenses
- Reconcile supplier invoices, purchase orders, and GRNs (goods received notes)
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare profit & loss statements and assist with budgeting/forecasting
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT/GST as applicable), filing, and statutory requirements
- Liaise with auditors and support year-end financial closing
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all financial transactions
- Flag discrepancies, cost leakages,



or unusual spending patterns to management

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience specifically in a restaurant/hospitality/F&B; environment
- Strong knowledge of restaurant cost control (food cost, beverage cost, labor cost)
- Hands-on experience with POS systems and inventory management software
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas for reporting)
- Solid understanding of payroll processing
- Knowledge of local tax laws and statutory compliance
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy under time pressure
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with kitchen/operations teams to understand cost drivers
- Strong communication skills for reporting to management
- Ability to multitask and meet daily/weekly/monthly deadlines
- Integrity and confidentiality in handling financial data

Preferred (Good to Have)

- Experience with multi-outlet/multi-branch restaurant accounting
- Familiarity with restaurant-specific software (Petpooja, LITHOSPOS, Restroworks, etc.)
- Knowledge of recipe costing and menu engineering

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
