Role Description The 3D Compositor will be responsible for integrating rendered 3D elements, live-action footage, and 2D assets into cohesive, high-quality shots. Day-to-day tasks include layering and blending passes, color matching, enhancing lighting, adding effects, and troubleshooting visual inconsistencies to achieve a polished final image.

The role also involves working closely with 3D, VFX, and animation teams, following shot briefs, maintaining version control, and meeting production deadlines. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Pompee VFX Animation Studios in Kochi, requiring consistent collaboration with other artists and supervisors.

Qualifications





- Strong compositing skills with industry-standard tools (e.g., Nuke, After Effects, Fusion) and experience working with multi-pass 3D renders.
- Solid understanding of color correction, grading, and image optimization, including exposure, contrast, and LUT workflows.
- Knowledge of 3D pipelines and rendering processes, with the ability to collaborate effectively with 3D artists and technical teams.
- Attention to detail in integrating CG and live-action elements, including perspective, lighting, shadows, and motion consistency.
- Ability to interpret storyboards and shot notes, take constructive feedback, and iterate quickly under production schedules.
- Proficiency with general VFX concepts such as rotoscoping, keying, tracking, and matte creation is highly beneficial.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the capacity to work on-site in Kochi and coordinate with supervisors and peers.
- Relevant education in animation, VFX, multimedia, or a related field, or equivalent skilled experience in compositing.
- A portfolio or showreel demonstrating compositing work on 3D and VFX projects is required.
