What You’ll Be Doing (position summary):
You'll play a key role in advancing our commitment to purpose-driven impact.



You’ll manage the day-to-day operations of our CSR program, ensuring alignment with CIBC’s Purpose and Mission. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing our CSR program, managing partnerships, and coordinating employee engagement in community initiatives. You’ll oversee the governance and reporting of charitable activities, monitor program effectiveness, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance CIBC’s role in the community. You’ll deliver regular reports and updates to the CSR Committee and Community Investment team in Canada, keeping them informed on all projects undertaken and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

How You’ll Succeed (responsibilities):
Community Partnership Development – Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, charities, and external stakeholders to advance CIBC’s social impact and brand reputation.
Fund Governance & Compliance – Manage the CSR fund governance framework, ensuring all activities adhere to regulatory and organizational standards.
Program Design & Implementation – Lead the design, implementation, and management of CSR programs, aligning initiatives with CIBC’s Purpose and Mission.
Committee Collaboration – Shortlist programs for review and work closely with the CSR Committee. Support the committee in formulating and revising CSR policies, annual action plans, and project approvals.
Budget Management – Oversee program budgets and adjust cost allocations as needed, supporting the committee in approving annual CSR expenditure budgets.
Employee Engagement – Coordinate and promote employee involvement in community programs, fostering a culture of giving and volunteerism and driving engagement and pride in CIBC’s purpose-driven culture.

Reporting & Analysis – Track, analyze, and report on key community programs, including initiating post-program reports and supporting information for CIBC’s CSR Report.

COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an employee of CIBC, the incumbent must comply with all applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines and controls.

AUTHORITIES/DECISION RIGHTS:
As a key contributor to the business unit, this job has the authority to recommend changes to business processes in order to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Experience: 10-15 years of experience (Min 5 yrs relevant experience)
Who You Are (skills/qualifications):
Must Have Skills:
You’re an experienced community builder. You bring at least 5 years of experience in corporate giving, community partnerships, or related fields, with a proven track record of developing impactful relationships and managing risks.
You’re strategic and collaborative . You excel at identifying opportunities for social impact, designing programs, and engaging employees and stakeholders in meaningful initiatives.
You’re skilled in program management and reporting. You have expertise in launching and managing community programs, tracking and analyzing outcomes, and preparing detailed reports for internal and external audiences.
You’re technically proficient. You’re comfortable using Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with Benevity products is a bonus.
You’re a strong communicator. You can effectively engage and inspire both internal and external partners, promoting CIBC’s values and mission in the community.
