Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Chemistry Tutor at MentorShield. The Chemistry Tutor will provide one-on-one and small-group online tutoring sessions, focusing on core Chemistry topics and Physical Chemistry concepts aligned with relevant curricula. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing student needs, planning lessons, explaining complex concepts clearly, answering questions,



and guiding problem-solving. The tutor will use MentorShield’s AI-supported tools and digital resources to personalize instruction, track progress, and adjust teaching strategies. Additional tasks may include creating practice materials, providing feedback on assignments, and communicating regularly with students and, where applicable, guardians or academic coordinators to support learning goals.

Qualifications

Robust subject-matter expertise in Chemistry with the ability to explain concepts at different levels of complexity.
Proficiency in Online Tutoring methods and tools, including comfort with video conferencing platforms, digital whiteboards, and learning management systems.
Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written explanations, active listening, and a supportive, student-centered teaching style.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or a closely related
