Job Summary:
We are looking for a Purchase Executive to manage day-to-day procurement activities for our manufacturing unit. The candidate will be responsible for timely procurement of raw materials, chemicals, consumables, packaging materials, engineering spares and other plant requirements while ensuring competitive pricing, quality and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle the complete purchase cycle from Purchase Requisition (PR) to Purchase Order (PO).
Source quotations, prepare comparative statements and negotiate with vendors.
Coordinate with Stores, Production, QA/QC, Maintenance and Accounts for procurement requirements.
Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery and resolve supply-related issues.
Develop and maintain vendor relationships and vendor records.
Ensure proper purchase documentation and ERP/Tally updates.
Monitor pending orders,
material requirements and critical purchases.
Support cost reduction and vendor development initiatives.
Ensure compliance with company purchase procedures and approval processes.
Candidate Profile:
Graduate/Diploma in Commerce, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering or related field.
2–5 years of purchase/procurement experience in a manufacturing industry.
Good knowledge of vendor negotiation, quotation comparison and purchase documentation.
Working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/Tally.
Positive communication, coordination, follow-up and negotiation skills.
Experience in chemical/pharmaceutical/specialty chemical manufacturing will be preferred.
