Department: Procurement / Supply Chain
Reports to: Procurement Manager / Operations Head
Experience: 2–5 years (can be adjusted as needed)
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely procurement of materials.
- Negotiate contracts and maintain healthy supplier relationships.
- Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to understand material requirements.
- Analyze vendor quotations and make cost-effective procurement decisions.
- Monitor inventory levels and support just-in-time (JIT) inventory systems.
- Maintain procurement documentation and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Track procurement KPIs and generate reports for management.
- Continuously explore new vendors and cost-reduction opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to ISO/quality standards and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in purchasing or supply chain in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and MS Office tools.
- Knowledge of materials, technical specifications, and sourcing techniques.
