About the Role

Job Profile
Key Responsibilities:
The key areas of responsibilities are as follows:
- Support the risk grading and comprehensive review process for a portfolio of corporate clients across Australia and New Zealand in line with the Banks credit policies and procedures.
All work will be hand-in-hand with in-country experts as MUFG embodies a one team approach to our critical businesses.
- Perform forward looking credit analysis on the borrowers, annual reviews and limit renewals, support on ad-hoc requests and periodic reviews when necessary
- Support onshore teams for the preparation of internal applications such as borrower rating reviews and credit application renewals. These involve preparation of spreadsheet, liquidity analysis and cashflow projection etc. and conducting credit review and analysis on credit transactions and rating applications.
- Contribute to the input and maintenance of portfolio datasets, to support portfolio risk management with potential for broader regional involvement over time.
- Conduct market research/ industry benchmarking/ peer analysis for the portfolio clients.
- Preparation of periodic sector reports and event-based stress tests of the portfolio as necessary.
- To perform covenant checking to ensure the financial and non-financial covenants of facility agreements are duly complied with.
- Support audit and regulatory processes, including preparation of documentation for internal and external reviews (e.g. Credit Examination, JFSA / MAS / BoJ / RBI / Statutory audits).
- Maintain credit files and documentation in accordance with the Banks standards, ensuring completeness and accuracy of records.
- Provide timely support on ad-hoc requestsfrom the in-country credit management teams and assist as needed, in alignment with business priorities and capacity.
Key Skills / Experience:
- Robust understanding of financial statements, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to build and modify financial models
- Solid grasp of macroeconomic environment & its impact on the borrowers / portfolio.
- Familiarity with financial data platforms such as Bloomberg / CapIQ, or similar systems.
- Excellent communication skills, including clear and concise report writing.
- High attention to detail, collaborative attitude and diligent work ethic.
- Prior experience supporting or managing a corporate portfolio in a similar environment is highly desirable; exposure to APAC markets is a strong advantage.
- Proactive mind set with strong problem-solving capabilities and sensitive to deadlines.
- Self-starter with initiative, drive, and enthusiasm.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across diverse workstreams and stakeholders.
- Experience of working with a financial institution
- Ability to multi-task and manage ever-changing and often conflicting priorities; Ability to work with a high level of motivation and initiative; Work diligently to develop technical skills and industry knowledge related to the role.
Qualification:
- MBA / equivalent from a premier institute
- CA/ CFA
