Senior Manager, Regional Payroll Support
Job Summary
We are seeking a results-oriented and people-centric Senior Manager to lead Blacklines Regional Payroll Support team, supporting EMEA and America’s payroll operations. The ideal candidate is a humble and curious leader who is passionate about developing talent, fostering a collaborative environment, and driving strategic outcomes in conjunction with the EMEA and Americas Regional Payroll Leader. This role is perfect for an individual who can balance high-level strategy with tactical execution and who thrives on continuous learning and improvement.
What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Development:
- Build and nurture leadership skills within your team, acting as a mentor and coach.
- Foster a culture of empowerment by providing your team with the necessary skills, training, and opportunities to highlight their capabilities and grow in their careers.
- Lead with humility, recognizing that you don't have all the answers but can guide discussions to find the best solutions. This role requires high collaboration with all payroll stakeholders throughout the organization, looking for opportunities to create win-win solutions.

- Strategic & Tactical Execution:
- Work with Regional Payroll Leaders to implement strategic plans while maintaining a firm grasp of the tactical details required to achieve key objectives assigned to the Regional Payroll Support Team. Focus on in country and regional payroll process execution ensuring the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of assigned deliverables.
- Analyze potential risks with assigned tasks and deadlines, develop robust mitigation plans,
and make informed decisions to keep on track to include understanding functional requirements and ensuring they a fully documented in non-technical terms and understood by each team member; ensure new processes and systems are fully tested and functional before moving to production; act as functional lead and SME for all regional support activities.
- Drive for results and ensure that all assigned processes, tasks, audits, reports, etc. assigned to the Regional Support Team are properly validated for accuracy and completeness, delivered on time, and to the highest standard of quality.
- Lead efforts to design and implement scalable frameworks, templates, and standards that provide clear guidance while allowing for local adaptation and flexibility for the Payroll Support Team.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, from individual contributors to senior leadership.
- Be highly responsive and maintain open lines of communication with all stakeholders, regardless of their role or level.
- Focus on the customer experience and ensuring that deliverables are met as agreed upon prior to committing.

- Champion the use of technology as a lever to streamline operations and drive efficiency.
