What awaits you/ Job Profile
a. Managing standard CAE tasks for several car projects
i. Model build-up to ensure quality and time dependent delivery along with internal and external partners.
ii. Suggestions and improvements to the current process in the form of modelling convention updates, process optimizations, etc together with all stakeholders.
iii. CAE and hardware validations for the vehicle projects to improve the feasibility of the CAE models.
b. Involvement in the early-stage concept development for passive safety
i. Suggestions and improvements for passive safety in the early phase.
ii. Iterations to achieve the project goals.
overall vehicle crash-simulation and validation (front, side, rearcrash)
/ component meshing / full vehicle model setup / status reporting and evaluation according to crash requirements / improvement suggestions / cad comparison
What should you bring along
- Robust and proven experience in CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) along with validation expertise
- Highly skilled with CAE preprocessor tools (ANSA/ META post, Ls-Pre-Post & Hyper works), CAE simulation software (LS-DYNA, Pam-crash)
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills using CAE methodologies, including interpretation of results
- Effective communication and collaboration skills within interdisciplinary engineering teams
Must have technical skill
- Full vehicle crash development experience
- Highly skilled with CAE preprocessor tools (ANSA/ META post, Ls-Pre-Post & Hyper works), CAE simulation software (LS-DYNA, Pam-crash)
Good to have Technical skills
It is required to work in the BMW CAE toolchain such as Ansa, Animator, LS-Dyna, DCM, CB2, Flowguide (HPC), FDM (Functional Data Management), VDC Next, VSC, SQMS, Confluence, Jira, Microsoft Office, NEXTOne.
